Shaykh al-Islām al-Hafiz Abi-Muaz Zubair Alizai (Rahimahullah) did not believe in having his photo taken. Some people secretly took photos with their mobile phones; some were extracted from videos. A few were taken for passport or NIC purposes. He only believed that videos could be recorded for the purpose of spreading Islam — for example, recording Friday Khutbas so the message could reach more people.
